Udalamaththa Gamage Tharika Dileepani

Tharika successfully completed her secondary education in Colombo, is an Undergraduate of the Faculty of Applied Science at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka and have qualified herself in Computer Programming and Human Resources Management.

She was the Deputy Regional Youth Caucus Representative of Sri Lanka for the Commonwealth Youth Programmend is a member of the Youth Led Task Force for the Commonwealth Youth Forum 2013.

She has taken active roles as a young leader both during her school days as well as after leaving school. Tharika was a college prefect and was the Secretary of the “Udahiru Youth Club, Kalalgoda” where she worked as a facilitator of Children’s Skills Development Programme to improve communication skills of the children.As a Young Parliamentarianrepresenting the Senate at the Sri Lanka Youth Parliament, Tharika works with a network of young leaders across the country coming from various walks of life and backgrounds.

Through the various work that she has been doing, she have gained strong understanding grassroot level issues of Sri Lanka Youth and have been able to establish strong and good working relationshipwith National Youth Services Council of Sri Lanka for last seven years.She is also a presenter of a youth magazine programme of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Cooperation.
