Young people around the globe continue to take the opportunity to build a peaceful world. Their vision for a better tomorrow involves moving towards global citizenship, having shared values and regenerating community efforts in ensuring mutual understanding and respect for each other.

This involves techniques such as bringing together multi-ethnic groups to identify issues that could spark conflict, discuss procedures to address land disputes and strengthen the capacity of government and civil society organizations to carry on peace building initiatives. Through the discourse of this subtheme CYF proposes to discuss and promote ‘solidarity’ and ‘togetherness’ among the youth of the Commonwealth nations and promote and grow responsible citizens.
